June 10, 2005

BREVARD, Fla. – June 10, 2005 – Florida City Gas, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE: ATG) has formed a Community Advisory Council through the Community Foundation of Brevard which will provide support for environmental non-profit organizations in the area.

Charles Rawson, vice president and general manager of Florida City Gas, presented Gary Lang, president of the Community Foundation with a check for $30,000 during a luncheon earlier this week in Brevard.

Two organizations have been designated to receive some of the funding. The Lagoon House received $10,000 and Friends of Turkey Creek also received $10,000. The remaining $10,000 will be retained as an endowment for the Community Foundation of Brevard to manage and grow so that additional awards can be made in the future.

“We are excited about being part of this community and look forward to serving it for many years to come,” said Charles Rawson.

Members of the Community Advisory Council include Charles Rawson, Gary Lang and Florida House of Representatives member Mitch Needelman (District 31). Representative Needelman, a Florida native who is serving in his fifth year as a state representative, stated that “this is a great partnership with Florida City Gas and the Community Foundation of Brevard. Thank you for coming to our neck of the woods and for helping to make it an even better paradise.”

The Lagoon House will use the funds to remove invasive species from their property and the Friends of Turkey Creek will use the funds for directional signage to help boaters and others to better navigate their way around the area.
