Florida City Gas employees are inextricably woven into the communities we are privileged to serve. You may see our crews working in your neighborhood or find us at community events.
Opportunities for employees to volunteer for community outreach are available with the Miami chapter of Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels, just to name a few. We also welcome opportunities to visit schools to educate students about careers in natural gas and natural gas safety. Additionally, the second week in May is Volunteer Week at Florida City Gas.
On March 3, we hosted a movie night in Cutler Bay. Thanks to everyone in the community who came out!
At Florida City Gas, we like to say that our energy matters. We're proud to announce that we are partnering with Miami-Dade County Public Schools to offer a 1,220 hours Natural Gas Operation & Distribution training program, giving the younger generation a chance to explore a career in energy.
Natural Gas Demonstration
On Feb. 16 at our corporate office in Doral, we hosted a “lunch and learn” that that featured a demonstration in the latest in natural gas technology!
Holiday Toy Drive
Florida City Gas employees collected over 70 toys and donated them to kids in need in the Miami area.
The second week in May is Volunteer Week at Florida City Gas. In 2016, a group of employees helped with clean up at A.D. Barnes Park. Another employee, Michelle Foushi, worked with Junior Achievement by talking to students at Pt. Malabar Elementary.
